Due to the increase of income, aging population, technological progress and other factors, the pharmaceutical consumption in China increased from 106,064 tons in 2015 to 158,022 tons in 2019. During the process of drug sales, the drug regulatory authorities require drug manufacturers to assume the main responsibility for the construction of the drug traceability system, and units engaging in drug wholesale, retail and using shall coordinate to build a complete drug traceability system and fulfill their own traceability responsibilities.
